Strengthening the
communities we work in

For a family-run business rooted in the North, social value is not an add-on to win contracts — it is how we have always operated. We employ locally, we train the next generation, and we put something back into the places where we work.

Skills and employment

We have created over 225 apprenticeships, growing our own engineers and giving people in our communities a route into a skilled, secure trade. We are proud to be a significant local employer across the areas we operate.

Communities

We support the communities where we deliver work — from giving to local causes alongside our retrofit programmes to backing community initiatives in the areas our teams are based.

Environment

The core of our work is environmental: every heat pump, solar array and retrofit we deliver cuts carbon and energy use for our clients and their residents. Our ISO14001 environmental management system governs how we operate on site and as a business.

Measuring what we deliver

We believe social value should be evidenced, not just claimed. We track the difference our work makes — through the people we employ and train, the local businesses we support, and the carbon we help our clients save — and we report it openly to the partners we work with.
