Supporting the Spaces That Support Young People
RPS is pleased to support Wigan Youth Zone, a much-valued local charity providing safe, welcoming spaces for young people across the borough. As a Patron of Wigan Youth Zone, RPS is committed to offering ongoing, practical support, using our skills and local presence to help the charity continue its important work.
Following a request for assistance, RPS engineers attended site to carry out essential maintenance works that were affecting day-to-day operations. While onsite, the team installed a new commercial knee-operated tap and reviewed a wall-mounted hot water boiler that had been dripping, helping to keep the facilities safe, hygienic, and fully operational for staff and young people.
The required commercial tap was sourced from a specialist supplier, with materials identified and ordered to ensure a suitable long-term solution. Once delivered, the tap was installed promptly, allowing Wigan Youth Zone to continue its fantastic community work without disruption.
The works were completed free of charge as part of RPSs commitment to delivering meaningful social value. The job was carried out by our engineers Dave and John Paul, who also work on RPSs partnership with Wigan Council, showing how local expertise can be used to support the wider community.
By donating time, specialist materials, and engineering expertise, RPS helped ensure that Wigan Youth Zones facilities remain fit for purpose, supporting the charitys ongoing work with young people and reinforcing RPSs long-term commitment, as a Patron, to supporting organisations that make a positive difference locally.
Anthony Ashworth-Steen, Wigan Youth ZoneThank you so much for the support – it really means a great deal to us.
